Hayley Orrantia is an American actress, singer and music producer. Many people recognize her by the title of Erica Goldberg, from the show 'The Goldbergs' on television. But she is primarily musician. Music is her first love she maintains; it is something she has dabbled at when she was 9 years old. When she reached the age of 12, her music took more serious form and she began professional training. At the age of 13 when she began writing herself songs. The first album she released as a cover was released 14 years after. Since then there has been no looking back. Orrantia, born in America, has Hispanic ancestry. She's proud of her reality that she is a native of Hispanic origins, although she was raised in English exclusively and has never lived in Mexico. In order to preserve her heritage, she is learning Spanish. Also, she writes songs based on the language. "Hasta Verte," which she recorded in Spanish is an example of this. Orrantia appeared on The X Factor during its first season, in summer 2011. Orrantia's YouTube video was chosen and she was awarded four "yeses" (or votes) by the judges at The Seattle audition. Her initial audition was performing as a solo artist, however following "Hollywood Week" the three female performers were added to groups to take part in the auditions. They were eliminated in the fifth week during the live program.
