Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Perry made her debut in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC sitcom Roseanne. She did not pursue acting as a career until she reached adulthood, as her parents were worried about the detrimental effects that stress could cause. Perry she was shy for acting in school, began to perform at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry made her debut in New York after graduation, getting small roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry go back to California and find work as a theater actress. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In 2015, she was a part of her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. The same year she was cast as a young character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again as a teen model of the mother's character. The role was offered to her by auditioning for an open role despite being a fan of the role.
