Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite well-known. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA in a place where she endured numerous racial slurs that caused her to feel as someone who was not wanted. When she attended a 9th grade school audition in which she received high praise for her singing, she started to build confidence. It not only boosted her confidence but also changed the direction she pursued in her career. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. She started her professional journey at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she starred in the part in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. In 2007 she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. As a well-known singer, she also released a single and an extended version of her play. In addition, she is an LGBT activist.
